The effort to increase foreign trade potential based on the capacities of military technology design and production was effective. The curve of companies´added value rose thanks to the modernisation of Slovak Armed Forces.

Following the financial reports, daughter company KONŠTRUKTA – DEFENCE shown net profit in the amount of 105 959 EUR, ZTS – ŠPECIÁL came out with a profit of 745 705 EUR and the company ZVS HOLDING (50% of shares owned by DMD GROUP) generated a profit of 256 000 EUR.

The biggest contribution to the positive financial results of KONŠTRUKTA – DEFENCE made projects realized based on the agreements with Slovak Ministry of Defence, such as the modernisation of 7 infantry combat vehicles BVP-M or repair and maintenance services provided in Moldava nad Bodvou. The present crucial project is the delivery of 25 self-propelled gun howitzers 155mm 52cal. ShKH ZUZANA 2 with equipment and ammunition to the Slovak Armed Forces, which shall have been realized by the end of 2023. The company also delivers 120 mm mortar barrels to the Swedish company BAE Systems Hägglunds. Considering the rising number of contracted projects in 2019, the number of company employees increased to 116 and should be still growing.  

Favourable economic development of ZTS – ŠPECIÁL is reflected in the added value indicator that had increased by 7,8%. The company employs 122 people. Nowadays the major investment seems to be the purchase of 5-axis machining centre with wide spectrum usage, though the company intends to use it mainly for machining of carrier units of ZUZANA´s 2 elevation parts.

In 2019, ZVS HOLDING shown its annual incomes in the amount of almost 22 400 000 EUR. Foreign export of goods represented 58% out of the total sales, whilst the most goods are exported to Poland (62%) and Serbia (31%). Last year, the company invested more than 500 000 EUR. ZVS HOLDING hires 246 employees.

DMD GROUP companies will continue to manage the common competitive design, production and trading strategy, ensuring the financial stability, using the financial means to support the crucial projects.
